I am very lean long and i am 6&#8242;2&#8221; i am not allowed to use weights till like august or september which i fear will not be long enough to build muscle. I want to be able to dunk for freshmen year as i am about 3-4 inches from dunking. I have the skinny calve gene and my quads an hamstrings need work to because i am in shape but when those get tired i am screwed. please help give exercises on how to build those leg muscles. (Remember i am not able to go to a workout gym all i have is 20 lb and 10 lb &#8216;bells please help!

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div>My goal is to gain a lot of speed, stamina, and athleticism by the end of the summer.  I&#8217;ve been running on the treadmill and doing the leg press machine to strengthen my quads.  Some people said that the leg press machine isn&#8217;t going to do anything for me and that I should just do squats instead.  Is this true?  The quads are the muscles that are used most during jumping.  I don&#8217;t see why using a leg press machine wouldn&#8217;t increase my vertical jump.</div>
