			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Everyday, I&#8217;ve been doing 50 perfect push ups (head up, go to when chest, not stomach hits the ground, arms shoulder with apart) as well as 100 (half upper abs half lower abs.) I&#8217;ve started to branch off and add several push ups each week. I am now at 65 (normally in two sets.) Once summer hits, I am doubling my work outs and throwing in some pull ups as well. Basically what I am asking is, with 125 push ups, 250 sit ups, and 50 pull ups, will I gain enough muscle to gain 15 pounds (125 pounds to 140) over the course of 10-12 weeks. I am also doing an hour of strength shoe training. Also, will protein shakes increase my performance over say a power bar. Remember, I&#8217;m not trying to bulk up, I just want to gain more muscle without loosing any speed or quickness. Thanks

Just last week I started doing some of those work outs to work on the calves and thigh muscles, apart from that I was just wondering how much of a role flexibility plays in my vertical leap. I need just another inch or two to be able to dunk nicely.</p>
<p>As of right now standing and bending over I can get a little over half way on my shins, its actually some improvement. I added into a basketball class at my college a month ago, and we play two days a week. So I think that has got me stretching a little bit.</p>
<p>But should I be even more flexible? Like touching my toes or the ground? And if so are there any particular stretches besides bending over and regular stuff?</p></div>
